Homesteader Houses for Sale - Edmonton
Located in the northeast sector of Edmonton, Homesteader is one of three residential neighbourhoods that make up the Hermitage area. Once the site of agricultural farms and a church settlement, the land that now makes up Homesteader was annexed by the City in 1961. Most residential development occurred in the 1970s and early 80s, and the area is characterized by its mix of single-detached homes, row houses, duplexes, and low-rise apartments. Homesteader was named in honour of the first pioneers of settlement and agriculture in the Edmonton area.
