Bonnie Doon Community Amenities & Features:

Although the area known as Bonnie Doon is within about two kilometers of central Edmonton, the natural boundary of the river has helped to keep the communities within the suburb more rural in atmosphere. This is very much in keeping with the agricultural and pioneering history of the area and is a source of great pride to the residents of the various neighborhoods. The entire Bonnie Doon area is considered to be very family friendly, with safe streets and parks to play in and good educational facilities within each of the communities. Some of the area schools include Rutherford School, Ecole Publique Gabrielle-Roy, Edmonton Public Schools, and Waverly School. Bonnie Doon gives residents good access to services and entertainment in downtown Edmonton as well as South Central Edmonton.
